All of our interpreters are nationally certified, and most have fifteen or more years of experience. The majority of our interpreters have undergraduate and graduate degrees, with many of the degrees being in the field of sign language interpreting. DAS has interpreters available to provide sign language interpretation in various modes including, but not limited to ASL, PSE/CS, MCE, SEE, Cued Speech, Sign Supported Speech, Oral, Tactile, and Close Vision.

Our exceptional web-based scheduling system, along with our hard-working and skilled scheduling coordinators make it possible for DAS to fill thousands of hours of service requests each month, and results in over 99% of all requests being filled, even when the request is received at the last minute.

DAS also provides CART captioning and transcription service for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, both onsite and remotely. Our CART writers are as skilled and experienced as our interpreters. Our CART system allows consumers to change the font, font size, and colors, along with many other adjustments to allow each consumer to see the text in a format that works for them. It also makes receiving a transcript the same day as easy as entering an email address.
