Welcome Gilbert Lensbower to DAS!

Gilbert Lensbower, DAS interpreter, smilingGilbert Lensbower is a native of Northern Virginia and now lives in Maryland (by way of Arizona). He was among the first group of the hearing undergraduate students (HUGS) at Gallaudet University. He went on to work as a full-time interpreter at Arizona State University for several years before moving back east to Maryland in 2008. He has worked several KODA camps throughout the nation and is currently one of the Camp Directors for KODAWest. He is known by his name sign “G-Finish”. (If you have the opportunity, do ask him how he got the name sign, as he often describes it as a story better told in ASL.) Gilbert currently lives with his wife, his new baby boy, and a one-year-old Samoyed puppy. He is excited to start his journey with the DAS team and states, “I am truly grateful for my growing family and now grateful to be joining DAS’ growing team!”
