Last month at the Washington Marriott over 500 registered participants learned and networked at the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing in Government (DHHIG) National Training Conference 2013. DAS Inc proudly sponsored this event, providing custom designed name badges and lanyards for all the attendees, presenters, and board members. The DAS Booth was staffed with Karl Kosiorek, Jen Fritz, and Grace Rupani along with a group of adorable miniature stuffed bears which were a huge hit with attendees! As people stopped by to meet the staff and learn more about DAS Inc and the many services we offer they entered the drawing for an iPad mini to win on Wednesday. Workshops ranging from Retirement Resources for Federal Employees to the Hidden Benefits of Deaf Interpreters, each day had an myriad of interesting topics for registrants. On Tuesday, Karl Kosiorek, President and Owner of DAS Inc, also served on a panel about interpreting services in the area to represent our agency. On Wednesday we had the anticipated drawing and Jaime Recht won the iPad mini, runner-up Thomas Ballard also won a gift card from Starbucks! As we packed up the booth to get ready for another conference, we are excited to see how DHHIG and DAS Inc will each continue grow. Thank you to DHHIG for allowing us to be a part of your conference, we are excited to see next one in 2015.
